One of the most impactful books on my business has been Good to Great by Jim Collins. In his book, Jim talks about something he calls Red Flag Mechanisms. These mechanisms help turn random information into actionable insights that you can’t ignore.
The concepts that embody Good to Great and Red Flag Mechanisms coupled with my time at Ensign have been pivotal in my growth from a BI Developer to the CEO and founder of DashboardHC.
I incorporated these concepts into the very core of DashboardHC, and they are a part of our culture. Our latest feature was born from this culture, and it is something that I believe will fundamentally change the way operators interact with their data.
Powered by our proprietary algorithms, our analytics engine can now automatically discover outliers, issues, and successes within your business’s data. These “Insights” function as Red Flag Mechanisms tailored to your company and unique to your data.
Our users will soon have an activity feed and receive notifications just like LinkedIn or Facebook, with the ability to comment and tag folks internal to the company to celebrate and openly discuss problems. It’s essentially like having a full-time automated Data Analyst on your team.
